Karen Travers is a White House correspondent for ABC News. Her reporting can be heard on 1650 ABC News Radio stations and seen across 200 ABC News affiliate television stations and on ABC News Live, a 24/7 streaming channel.
Karen joined ABC News in 2000 as an intern. Over 20 years she has reported extensively on national and international politics, including primaries and caucuses, Republican and Democratic conventions and presidential debates in every election cycle since 2004. As part of the White House press corps during the Bush, Obama and Trump Administrations, she has traveled to 49 states and more than 60 countries.
Karen is a proud “double Hoya” – earning her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Georgetown University. She lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband, John Anderson, and their three young children.
