Courtney Subramanian is a White House correspondent for the Los Angeles Times. She joined the newspaper in 2022 after covering the White House for USA TODAY, where she chronicled former President Donald Trump’s administration and President Joe Biden’s first year in office. Before joining USA TODAY, Subramanian served as a reporter and editor for the BBC and previously, as a reporter for TIME magazine. She earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism and history from Miami University in Ohio and a master’s degree at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism. She is a Chicago native and lives in Washington, D.C.
