Courtney Subramanian

Courtney Subramanian is a supervising editor in the BBC’s North America bureau. She rejoined the BBC in 2024 after serving as a White House correspondent for the Los Angeles Times and USA TODAY, where she covered former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden. Before joining USA TODAY, Subramanian served as a reporter and editor for the BBC and previously, as a reporter for TIME magazine. She earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism and history from Miami University in Ohio and a master’s degree at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism. She is a Chicago native and lives in Washington, D.C.
