Yanqi Xu of Guangzhou, China, is a graduate student studying data reporting. Yanqi is a Reynolds Journalism Institute Student Innovation Fellow. She also won a Telly Award for an international news program she produced on Global Journalist. Yanqi was a research assistant for the Investigative Reporters and Editors data library and interned for the National Freedom of Information Coalition. She plans to use data to report on public policy and tell investigative, in-depth, and impactful stories
