Miranda Moore of Columbia, Missouri, receives a $3,000 grant.
Prior to attending Journalism School, Miranda worked for several years in the US government’s office for prosecuting human rights violators. She also served in the Peace Corps, in Uganda, from 2009-2011. Miranda is now a second-semester grad student pursuing her degree in Investigative Reporting and hopes to work in investigative journalism on subjects such as human rights.
