The total grant is $3,500 for each of 3 students, with $2,500 from the WHCA and $1,000 from the school.
Micah Alise Bledsoe of Detroit, Michigan, is a graduate student pursuing a degree in Mass Communications and has served as President of the National Association of Black Journalists at ASU. She is the first student from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism to complete programs at all of the program’s news bureaus in Washington, Phoenix, and Los Angeles. After graduation, Micah hopes to create her own television show providing a range of fact-based entertainment.
