Colleen Curran

Colleen Curran of the University of Maryland is the recipient of a one-time scholarship honoring Julia Whiston, the longtime executive director of the association who retired in 2017.

The award is for $5,000.

Curran holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in history and this fall will join the master’s program at the University of Maryland’s Philip Merrill College of Journalism. While there, she will do work as well on The White House Correspondents’ Association Pool Reports Collection.
