Alvarado spearheaded reporting and editing for Howard’s Cover2Cover Magazine revamp edition, launched the first Spanish podcast at any HBCU, and was the sole representative from Howard selected from a competitive pool of HBCU students across the country to attend the annual ONA conference held in Los Angeles. The senior works as a production intern for ABC News’ Race and Culture unit and hopes to work in documentary films.
