The White House Correspondents’ Association supports a student at the Medill School of Journalism through a $5,000 gift toward a postgraduate degree for a student in the Government and Public Affairs reporting track.
California native Brian De Los Santos is a graduate student at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism. He received his bachelor’s degree from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, where he studied journalism and graphic communication. He has worked for organizations such as The San Luis Obispo Tribune, The Sacramento Bee, The San Diego UnionTribune and ESPN Los Angeles. Currently, he is studying interactive publishing and has aspirations of working in the magazine industry after graduation. The only thing he loves more than writing is the San Francisco Giants.
