Beverly Banks of Wheeling, West Virginia, is a graduate student pursuing a Master’s of Science in Journalism with a major in Politics and National Security. Beverly earned first place in the Tennessee AP Broadcasters and Media Editors award category for TV News Stories. She also was a Top 20 Finalist for the 2017-2018 Hearst Awards TV II News Competition. Beverly covered the 2018 midterm elections, the government shutdown, and the 2019 State of the Union Address. She plans to work as a political correspondent on Capitol Hill.
